Our Story

At Dash Lumber & Supply, we are proud to have been a staple in the community for over 70 years. Our journey began in 1946 when Salvatore "Sam" Diecidue, a 46-year-old Italian American, began building his dream home in the 9th Ward of New Orleans. As his family grew, he needed additional space and resources to construct the new additions. With limited options available, Sam saw an opportunity to create a lumber supply store that would cater to the needs of DIY enthusiasts and builders alike. Thus, Dash Lumber & Supply was born.
