Our story began in 1968 when founder Frederick "Fred" James Willert started the company with a single dump truck and a vision. Today, we have grown to become the largest and most successful earthmoving company in San Diego, led by son Fred "Freddie" Michael Willert since 2012.

Our Services
We offer a wide range of services, including earthwork, grading, excavation, backfill, and soil import. We have the expertise and experience to handle complex projects from start to finish. Our team is equipped with a diverse range of heavy machinery, including 175 pieces of Tier 3 and 4 equipment, to ensure that we can handle any project, no matter the size or complexity.
Our Projects
We have had the privilege of working on some of the most iconic projects in Southern California. Some of our notable projects include:
- SDSU's Snapdragon Stadium: We performed the demolition, grading, excavation, backfill, and soil import for the new SnapDragon Stadium and SDSU Mission Valley. For this 6.5 Million square foot project, we imported well over 400,000 cubic yards of soil.
- San Diego International Airport Terminal 1: We are performing all excavation, export, import, and grading on the new $2.265 billion airport terminal at San Diego International Airport. The 1.2 million-square-foot building with 30 gates will replace the existing 1960s era terminal.
- Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry and 905 Freeway Extension: We are working on a project to increase vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at the Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry, which is the busiest commercial port in California.
