Our History

Greene Construction has a rich history that dates back to 1942. Our founder, G. Perry Greene, Sr., was a visionary entrepreneur who pioneered the construction industry in the High Country. With a background in civil engineering, Perry started his journey in the late 1940s, working for a small construction company in Boone, North Carolina. His experience and expertise in the field led him to establish his own company, Greene Construction, in the late 1940s. Today, the company is led by the second-generation leadership of Perry's sons, G. Perry Greene, Jr. (Skip) and Ted Greene, who have continued to build on the family legacy.
