Our Custom Shop

At Craftsmanship by John, we take pride in our custom shop where we make each cabinet by hand, one at a time, for a personalized touch. Our skilled craftsmen use the highest quality raw materials for a finished product that is not only functional but also a work of art. Our custom shop allows us to create a space that is distinctly you, serving your lifestyle, work, and play needs.

Our Process

Our focus on service is paramount in delivering an exceptional project. We have established a process for the lifecycle of each project from functional design review to project pricing, project manager hand-off meetings, robust accounting software, and the customization capabilities of our in-house cabinetry and millwork shop. Our team of experts executes each project with dedication to detail, delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.

Our Team

Our team of experts includes John Gillette, the founder and president, Trent Hoffman, the project manager and estimator, Jackson Gillette, the project manager, Mario Montoya, the head of cabinetry and millwork, Yanin Alfaro, the office manager, Dulce Soto, the bookkeeper, and Robert Varga, the assistant project manager. We are a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in our work and are committed to delivering quality and professionalism in every project we undertake.

Our team includes two recipients of the Greater Houston Builders Association Remodeler of the Year award, John Gillette in 2012 and Jackson Gillette in 2022.
