At Kenlawn Company, we pride ourselves on being a premier lawn and landscape service company in the Twin Cities. With over 30 years of experience, we have evolved from a small neighborhood summer mowing job to a full-service company catering to hundreds of residential and commercial properties on a weekly basis.
Our Story
What started as a small summer mowing job for Ken Lambert, owner and operator of Kenlawn Company, back in 1983, has now developed into a highly respected premier lawn and landscape service company in the Twin Cities. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, with a degree from the Carlson School of Management, Ken continued to expand the business yearly. Today, we employ 12 crew members, along with Ken, who serve hundreds of residential and commercial properties on a weekly basis.

Lawn Maintenance Services
Our lawn maintenance services include weekly mowing, spring and fall cleanups, shrub pruning, lawn renovations, compost topdressing, aerating, dethatching, gutter cleaning, and edging. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality service, tailored to your specific needs.
Lawn Care Service Programs
We offer a variety of lawn care service programs to cater to your exact lawn maintenance needs. Our premier plus landscaping maintenance program and compost topdressing and lawn renovation programs are designed to provide you with a comprehensive lawn care solution.
Landscaping Services
Our landscaping services include landscaping design, garden beds, shrub and tree planting, retaining walls, stone/boulder work, water features, fire pit design and installation, and walk-ways and stone patios. Our experienced team of landscapers will work with you to create a beautiful and functional outdoor space that meets your specific needs.
Snow Removal Services
Our snow removal program is designed to eliminate the uncertainties of snow and extra cleanup charges. Our flat monthly seasonal rate includes shoveling of all walk-ways and steps, and we offer 1" or 2" level service options to suit your needs.
Holiday Lighting Services
Beautify your exterior with our safe and energy-efficient LED lighting systems. Our holiday lighting services include design, installation, teardown, and storage, ensuring that your exterior is beautifully lit for the holiday season.

Quality of Service and Materials
The quality of service provided by Kenlawn is a mixed bag. On one hand, some customers praised the company for their professionalism, accuracy, and quick response. On the other hand, others were disappointed with the quality of materials provided, specifically the compost, which was found to contain large chunks of mulch, pallet wood, shredded paper, plastic, weed fabric, and rope.
