Who We Are
Savannah Homes, Inc., is a real estate development and homebuilding company owned by Ted Grob. Located in Des Moines, Iowa, we specialize in work force, affordable and entry-level housing. Our team of experienced professionals has been working with first-time homebuyers for over 25 years, providing them with the information and guidance they need to make smart and informed decisions when purchasing a home. We are proud to have received the 2019 BBB Torch Award for Business Ethics, recognizing our commitment to fair, honest, and ethical marketplace practices.
Our Founder
Ted Grob, the founder of Savannah Homes, is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA degree and a Real Estate Major. He started his homebuilding career in Des Moines, Iowa in 1970 and has built approximately 2,500 homes and townhomes in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Iowa City, Marion, Marshalltown, Ankeny, Altoona, Urbandale, and West Des Moines. Ted was the founder and president of Midland Homes, which he started in 1984 and built into the largest homebuilder in Iowa. He is an honorary lifetime member of the Greater Des Moines Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and has spoken extensively about the need for affordable housing in Iowa communities.
Our Team
At Savannah Homes, we have a team of experienced professionals equipped with years of industry experience. Our team includes Linda Aldrich, one of only two female superintendents in Iowa, and a Certified Green Professional with the homebuilding industry. Linda oversees the construction of every home we build and performs our plans and specs meetings and Homeowner orientations.
