A History of Success

Loverde Builders has established a reputation for superb craftsmanship and business practices throughout the Tahoe-Truckee area. With over 100 homes built under the guidance of our owner, Rich Loverde, we have proven ourselves as a reliable and trustworthy construction company. Rich graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Architecture and holds a contractor's license in both California and Nevada. His extensive experience in construction, architecture, and development has made him an expert in the field.

In 1970, Rich accepted a position with Perini Land and Development Company at Lake Tahoe, where he became the Project Manager for the development of the Chambers Landing project in Homewood on Tahoe's Westshore. His responsibilities covered planning and design, environmental documentation, the entitlement/permit processing, as well as construction. In 1984, as construction of Chambers Landing was moving towards conclusion, Rich also became responsible for the development, design, and construction of the $135 million Resort at Squaw Creek.

Having over 25 years of construction, architecture, and development experience, Mr. Loverde formed an independent construction company, which eventually evolved into Loverde Builders, Inc. Our office is located on the second floor of the US Bank Building in the heart of Tahoe City. Our full-time office staff of six provides all the necessary functions to expedite administration of the construction process, from bookkeeping to providing back-up for the field processes.

Exceptional Services

Subject to the client's wishes, Loverde Builders can provide design, permitting, and coordination with interior and landscape designers. We understand the importance of communication and teamwork, and we ensure that all parties involved in the project are on the same page. This approach allows us to deliver high-quality results that meet our clients' expectations.

Custom Home Building

Loverde Builders has built over 100 homes in the Tahoe area under Mr. Loverde's guidance. We have worked with top local architects and also architects from other parts of California and Nevada. We have built homes on the North and West Shores of Lake Tahoe, Martis Camp and Lahontan in Truckee, Big Springs at Northstar, Incline Village, and Reno, NV. A majority of our work comes from referrals by past clients, various architects, and our project recognition. We are able to have perspective clients tour many of these homes during their selection process.
