Our History

AGC MA's roots run deep, tracing back to 1924 when the chapter was first chartered as a state affiliate of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). Incorporated in Massachusetts in 1935, our history spans over 100 years of continuous growth and dedication to building excellence. From its humble beginnings, AGC MA has evolved into a powerful force, representing a diverse membership of over 200 open shop and union contractors, spanning the entire construction spectrum from Cape Cod to the New York border.

Guided by the national AGC's mission of assisting the government in building the nation, which began in 1918, AGC MA has consistently contributed to the development and growth of the Commonwealth's infrastructure and economy.
