Our History

Wheelers was built by builders for builders. "Papa Tom" Manis established our family's roots in the industry as a saw-miller back in the 1920s. His son, Wheeler Manis, opened Rome Builders Supply in 1949 and expanded the business throughout the Southeast. Four generations later, we are still owned and operated by the same family and driven by the same dedication to craft that started it all.

Our Leadership Team

Our team is comprised of industry experts who are dedicated to ensuring your projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Jim Manis serves as CEO and CFO, Michael Bryan is Senior Purchasing Manager, Wheeler Manis is VP Operations, PJ Diamond is Logistics Manager, Jim Langston is VP Market Development, Alex Lamboy is Plant Manager, Doug Bush is IT Director, and Kim Waid is Credit Manager.
