Canby Drywall, Inc. began as a vision in 1972 when Steve Gustafson, driven by an unexpected entrepreneurial spark, found himself drawn to the detailed world of residential drywall nailing. What began as an accidental foray into the field quickly blossomed into a thriving career, fueled by Steve's undeniable talent and growing expertise. Over 18 years, Steve immersed himself in the intricacies of drywall, honing his skills and building a reputation for impeccable workmanship. As his knowledge and experience deepened, so did his desire to establish his own business, driven by a commitment to providing top-quality services and building lasting relationships with clients.

With the unwavering support and sound financial acumen of his wife, Lois, Steve took the leap of faith. In July 1990, Canby Drywall, Inc. officially came to life, marking the beginning of a journey that would see the company become a trusted name in the Portland area drywall industry.
