Our History and Philosophy

Somerset Doors and Windows was founded in 1987 by Peter and Lleni Carr, who have spent over 25 years building a reputation for excellence in the industry. Our philosophy is simple: we put people first. We believe in providing outstanding service to our customers, and in creating a family-friendly working environment for our employees. We are dedicated to providing knowledge, reliability, and honesty in all our dealings.

Doors

• WOOD DOORS: We stock a variety of wood door products from esteemed brands such as Elegant Entry, IWP, Art Glass, Sun Mountain, Pinecrest, Simpson, TM Cobb, and Trustile.
• MDF STEEL & FIBERGLASS DOORS: We offer a range of steel and fiberglass doors from leading brands like Therma Tru and Plastpro.
• MILLWORK: Our millwork products include MDF, fingerjoint, and various species of solid wood, as well as molded polyurethane and flexible resin mouldings, and columns.

Hardware and Locksets

• We stock a variety of locksets and hardware from top brands like Baldwin, Schlage, Emtek, Ashley Norton, and Rocky Mountain.

Our Expertise

Showroom and Custom Shop

Our showroom is located in Soquel, California, and is open by appointment only. We also have a custom shop where we prehang wood doors and prepare millwork.
