What We Do

We specialize in industrial and commercial maintenance/construction services with a strong emphasis on structural/miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection, metal buildings, and structural and flat concrete work. Our facility services division excels in office construction and remodeling, industrial equipment installation and relocation, crane installation and modification, and building additions.

Our in-house professional engineer and our design team provide problem-solving capabilities that few other construction firms can offer. This allows us to offer our clients engineering solutions from simple designs to complete project documents.

History

Our founder, Bob Ewing, was a graduate of the University of Arizona. He started the company as a sole proprietorship in 1960, operating from a small office at the southeast corner of Camelback Road and 16th Street in Phoenix. He moved the business to its current location at 4135 N. 12th in Phoenix in 1965 and incorporated it under our current name in 1975. Bob was a professional Civil Engineer with specialized experience in industrial and commercial buildings.

Through the 1970s and 1980s, the company constructed many industrial and commercial projects such as the housing and operational buildings at the Cyprus Bagdad Mine, Shadow Mountain High School, and numerous other ground-up projects.

Beginning in the early 1990s and continuing today, we have specialized in supporting facility managers and maintenance personnel in the daily operations of their facilities. Because we self-perform all aspects of concrete, steel, metal stud/drywall, small carpentry work, and structural engineering/design, we have been able to control costs and efficiently support the needs of our customers in an efficient and timely manner.

Employee Ownership

In 1995, Bob established an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) to support continued operations, instill efficiency among our personnel, and maintain a commitment to meeting the needs of our customers. Employee owners with a vested interest in the company enhance our ability to retain personnel and demonstrates stability which is crucial to maintaining our long-term relationships.

As a result, many of our key personnel have been with us for over 30 years, and our average employee has been with the company for 15 years. We have many customers who have retained our services for over 20 years, and we welcome the opportunity to show you why they have trusted our capabilities year after year.
