Gatlin Fence Company was founded in 1997 by David and Jodi Gatlin, their inspiration rooted in their earlier years assisting family members in the Georgia fence business.

The spark for their own company ignited when they found themselves needing a fence project completed in 1996, but were dissatisfied with the prices quoted for the desired scope of work. They resolved to establish their own company in Baldwin County, Alabama, with the ambition of revolutionizing the fence industry by offering a distinctive blend of high-quality products, exceptional service, a down-to-earth approach, and all at an affordable price point. The vision resonated, and their business experienced rapid growth.

By 2001, Gatlin Fence expanded its operations to Mobile County, continuing on a trajectory of success. They gradually broadened their service area westward, reaching the Mississippi Gulf Coast by 2006, extending their reach as far west as the Louisiana state line and as far north as Laurel, Mississippi. Sales continued to flourish, driven by a commitment to customer satisfaction and an unwavering dedication to excellence. However, the economic downturn in the mid-2000s necessitated a strategic shift, causing Gatlin Fence to consolidate its operations back to its original core areas of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Throughout this dynamic journey, Gatlin Fence maintained its core values, ensuring every employee received comprehensive training in fence installation and customer communication, enabling them to provide a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
