Our History

The Harmon story began in 1975 with Richard and Jean Harmon, who established our company with a vision of bringing clean, sustainable energy solutions to Arizona. Over the years, Harmon Solar has grown exponentially, expanding its expertise and services while remaining true to its core values. Today, led by Julie Harmon-King and her husband Dan King, the company continues to thrive as a family-run business.

Julie, having grown up witnessing her parents' hard work and dedication, initially vowed to never enter the construction industry. However, her passion for the company's mission and her unwavering commitment to her family led her back to Harmon, where she has played a pivotal role in transforming the company. Under Julie's leadership, Harmon Solar has earned a prestigious Certified Woman Owned Business designation, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to diversity. Julie's accomplishments have been recognized by AZ Big Media, who named her one of the Most Influential Women in Arizona, and by the Phoenix Business Journal, who included her in their 2022 Titan 100. While managing the company, Julie remains a dedicated mom and grandma, finding joy in spending time with loved ones and staying active through fitness classes.

Dan King, with his extensive experience in business sales spanning over two decades, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Harmon Solar as Chief Operating Officer. His collaborative approach and keen business acumen have been instrumental in driving the company's growth and success. When Dan isn't focusing on business development, he enjoys exploring unique wineries and microbreweries with his wife, Julie, and cherishes their time together preparing delicious meals.

Together, this dynamic duo continues to propel Harmon Solar forward, upholding the company's legacy of excellence while embracing innovation and forging new paths in the dynamic solar industry.
