Our Story

Berens Construction was founded by Bob Berens in 1976, when he started taking small construction jobs on the side to make extra money. As his successes grew, he began to realize that he had a knack for exterior home remodeling and started landing subcontract work more frequently. Eventually, he decided to start his own business, which would become Berens Construction, Inc.

Over the years, the company has undergone significant growth and change. In 1993, Berens Construction built a free-standing office and warehouse in Gretna, Nebraska, which enabled the company to expand its operations and reach even more customers. In 1995, the company became accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with an A+ rating, and has remained on the BBB Honor Roll with an A+ rating ever since.

In 2015, Zach Sciscoe, a long-time employee of the company, took over as co-owner alongside his wife Molly, marking a new chapter in the company's history. With their guidance, Berens Construction has continued to grow and evolve, embracing new technologies and services while maintaining its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
