Our History

Access Bath Systems was founded in response to frequent requests for easy access in the bathroom. Our owner, Doug Martes, has been running a bathtub and tile refinishing company for over 21 years. He recognized the need for an affordable solution for bathroom remodels, especially for seniors on a fixed income. This led him to design the EZ-Step process, which involves cutting down cast iron, steel, or fiberglass bathtubs to create walk-in showers. Since then, we have expanded our services to include a full line of bathing units and custom tile construction to accommodate different levels of user ability.
