Our Story

Our founder, Luther Maxwell Johnson, Jr., has a rich history in the tree service industry. After serving in the United States Air Force, Luther began working for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) as a Transit Operator. During this time, he started part-time work in tree removal and trimming, which sparked a passion for the industry. In 2004, Luther retired from MTA and launched L. Johnson Tree Services LLC (LJTS). Since then, LJTS has become a trusted name in the Baltimore community, recognized for its expertise, professionalism, and commitment to sustainability.
