At Gulfpoint, we are a local company that has been defining the point of excellence in saving for clients for over three decades. Since our inception in 1985, we have managed to successfully complete more than 310 projects and have worked on facilities covering over 150,000,000 square feet. We are proud of our commitment to meeting deadlines, and we have never missed one in our entire history. Our team of experts has worked on various projects, including educational institutions, houses of worship, financial institutions, commerce industrial parks, and manufacturing facilities.

Our story began when John and Darlene Huether started the business, focusing on light commercial and residential construction. Over time, as the growing economy attracted more people to Southwest Florida, Gulfpoint expanded its services to cater to the increasing demand for educational institutions and houses of worship. Today, we have the privilege of constructing a wide range of facilities that meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Who We Are

Our team at Gulfpoint is comprised of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering quality and value to our clients. John Huether, our President and Senior Project Manager, has been instrumental in guiding the company towards success. Darlene Huether, our Corporate Secretary and Director of Operations, ensures that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Our Vice Presidents, JD Huether, Tommy Huether, and Bubba Huether, are all Project Managers and Project Superintendents who have extensive experience in managing large-scale projects. Amber Huether, our Office Manager, handles accounting and ensures that all administrative tasks are taken care of. Renee Lafehr, our Office Assistant, provides support to the team, while Joseph Jamison, our Project Coordinator, assists in managing project details. Joe Pressler, our Chief Estimator, is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for our projects. Finally, Mitra Shaffy, our Art Director, brings a creative touch to our projects, ensuring that they are visually appealing and meet our clients' aesthetic requirements.

Our design/build services offer the opportunity to be engaged with clients during the design phase and to collaborate with our team at an early stage. Gulfpoint utilizes the latest cutting-edge methods to actively manage your project at this critical stage. We work with you to retain high-quality contractors to ensure that every detail for your project is given proper attention.

Finally, our construction management services focus on executing the work. Our top-quality staff implements the plan to effectively and efficiently manage all phases of on-site construction. We provide a hands-on approach, from inception to completion, and focus on areas such as supervision of field construction, safety program, schedule management, owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, schedule monitoring and control, cost monitoring and control, building information modeling (BIM), submittals, complete punch-lists, and project reporting.
