With over 25 years of experience in gardening, horticulture, and landscape design, our founder, Carol Vander Meulen APLD, has a deep passion for creating low-maintenance yards that require minimal resources, including water, pesticides, waste, and human sweat.
Our Services
Our services include landscape design, project management, consultations, irrigate audit, seasonal assessment, and garden consultations on seasonal tasks, plant and pest management, as well as planting area refreshes. We specialize in creating functional and maintainable outdoor spaces that meet your unique needs and preferences.
Design Philosophy
Our design philosophy is centered around the idea that your outdoor space should be an extension of your home, a reflection of your personal style and a space that brings you joy and serenity. We take the time to understand your needs and preferences, and work closely with you to create a custom design that meets your requirements.
Expertise
Our founder, Carol Vander Meulen APLD, is a certified landscape designer with over 15 years of experience in the field. She holds a Master's degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design from the University of California, Davis, and has completed an extensive juried certification process recognized by the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).

About Carol Vander Meulen APLD
Carol Vander Meulen APLD is an accomplished landscape designer with over 25 years of experience in gardening, horticulture, and landscape design. She is a certified landscape designer with a Master's degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design from the University of California, Davis. Carol is passionate about creating low-maintenance yards that require minimal resources, including water, pesticides, waste, and human sweat. She is an active member of the UC Master Gardener program and has designed displays for the County Fair and other garden shows.
