With roots in Central Florida, Zach's creation of Ovida Construction stemmed from his passion for building hardscapes and amenities for land developers, particularly during the post-recession period.

As a respected and knowledgeable leader in the construction industry, Zach possesses over 17 years of experience and has been certified in 16 states as a commercial general contractor. His vision for Ovida Construction Group is centered around attention to detail, deeply skilled leadership, and a commitment to excellence.

Our Team

Headed by our President and Founder, Zach Barber, our executive team consists of experienced professionals who have led the construction industry with distinction. Charles Frazier, our Vice President of Operations, boasts over 19 years of experience in commercial construction, managing projects across multiple states and sectors. James Penny, our Vice President of Sales, has worked in the industry for over 15 years, providing expertise in project management, sales, and preconstruction.

Our Director of Construction, David Remo, has extensive experience in residential and commercial construction, having worked in various sectors and locations. Brooke Schmitt, our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), holds a business management degree and has managed electrical contracting companies.
