The Company

Zenith Rugs is a boutique rug company specializing in custom rugs and carpets for the Hospitality Industry. Our design offices are located in Los Angeles, California. We are the second generation of a certified woman-owned business, founded in 1999 by Helen Marcus, that evolved in 2014 to develop a wide selection of sustainable custom design products and continued a tradition of exceptional personalized customer service. Our owner, Jan Baron Shames, has a passion for design and a love for the creation of custom rugs. It is this passion that leads the team in manufacturing the best possible product for every budget, using the finest sustainably sourced yarns in a variety of different constructions and products. Design is never compromised, and her expertise is reflected in every project produced by the design team. Ilyse Levy, our Director of Operations, knows which of our worldwide manufacturing facilities to use, to guarantee your rugs will meet your design, your project budget, and assure on-time production with a quality delivery. Ilyse supervises the Customer Service team. As many of our purchasing agents know, Ilyse is the ultimate partner in moving your product from initial concept and price to completion.

How We Work

Zenith creates bespoke rugs that are unique, hand-crafted, and custom-designed for each project. Our rugs are made with the highest quality yarns, using a combination of textures, and a variety of pile heights and carving options, which results in an endless number of possibilities. Beleco Collection

Zenith Rugs brings Beleco design sensibility to the floor with strikingly sophisticated carpets and area rugs that uplift and balance any space. Christian Schnyder is known for the excellent talent and vision that he brings to each project. Beleco Carpet Collection is inspired by Swiss graphics, geometry, and nature. Each design evokes space, time, and movement with organic yet unexpected shapes and colors that are uniquely Beleco.

Elements Collection

Fall-inspired by the elements, Earth, Water, and Metal, our in-house design team created the Elements Collection to depict a graphical story of abstract design influenced by nature. Zenith Rugs discovered a fresh perspective which added originality to the designs.

Zenith Rugs is an award-winning supplier of high-quality custom rugs for the hospitality industry. Our distinctive rugs are featured in hotels worldwide and used in lobbies, suites, guestrooms, and outdoor spaces. We use only the finest materials to make custom hand-tufted wool area rugs, custom flat-weave rugs, hand-knotted rugs, and custom PET rugs for indoor/outdoor installations.

Products

Hand-knotted rugs are an ancient art form that can create intricate modern organic or re-interpreted timeless ancient designs. They are woven completely by hand on a special loom. These carpets can exhibit simplicity or great complexity since each knot is individually tied by hand. They often have a flat pile but may also utilize a variety of pile heights for added texture. Our rugs are made from many different materials, such as wool, silk, EcoSE nylon, jute, and bamboo silk.

Hand-tufted rugs are created using a small, handheld, tufting gun to stitch the design into a canvas backing. The tufting gun is guided by a craftsman, in linear or dynamic patterns, to turn the custom pattern inked on the canvas into a work of art.

Flat-weave rugs are hand-woven on a loom. These rugs are constructed without any knots or pile height. Instead, the patterns are created using different colored vertical and horizontal fibers that are woven together to create the rug.

PET rugs are environmentally friendly choices as they are created from recycled plastic bottles. Outdoor rugs have many options for outdoor use. Our PET rugs are an environmentally friendly choice as they're created from recycled plastic bottles, which are woven into yarns to create rugs. These rugs are made of washable, durable fibers making them perfect for outdoor use.
