Our Story

The Swartz Nurseries has a rich history that spans over 150 years, dating back to the 1860s when it was first established as Swartz & Sons Fruit by John Jacob Swartz and his son, John F. Swartz. The nursery initially focused on growing fruit trees and fruit crops, but later expanded to include the cultivation of ornamental nursery stock and landscape work. Over the years, the company has been led by three generations of the Swartz family, each contributing to its growth and success.
