Shy Tree, a licensed and insured Tree Service Company, was founded in 2017 with a deep commitment to responsible and ethical arboriculture practices. Our mission is to provide expert tree care services while prioritizing the health and vitality of every tree we encounter. Over the years, we have built a solid reputation for delivering exceptional results, earning the trust of both residential and commercial clients. We are particularly proud of securing prominent commercial contracts, including projects for the French Embassy in Washington D.C. and a long-term service agreement with the City of Bowie, Maryland. Our success stems from a meticulous approach to tree care, coupled with a team of skilled and knowledgeable arborists.

Meet Our Team

At the helm of Shy Tree is Alex Shy, our owner and operator, who is a testament to our dedication to expert arboriculture. Alex is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and holds a Maryland License as a Tree Expert, demonstrating his deep understanding of tree biology, care, and safety. Beyond his professional certifications, Alex is a passionate educator and shares his expertise by teaching the MAC-ISA's Arborist Certification Course. His academic background, culminating in a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from West Virginia University with honors, further underscores his commitment to the science and art of tree care. Alex's leadership and qualifications serve as the foundation for Shy Tree's pursuit of excellence in every tree service we provide.
