Brian D. Combs Architect, Inc. is a small yet dynamic architecture firm located in the picturesque Bay County, Florida, close to one of the world's most beautiful beaches - Panama City Beach. Founded in May of 2003, our firm has evolved into a responsible and effective design firm that consistently meets the demands of our clients. We specialize in coastal residential design and light commercial projects, offering our services in a timely manner and with customer satisfaction in mind.

Our Team

Our team is led by Brian Combs, who has been studying architecture since 1991 and received a bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in 1996. Brian has been working in the field of architecture since 1994, starting as a draftsman for a small residential design firm and later joining a prominent architecture firm in Knoxville, Tennessee - Michael Brady Incorporated. During his time at Michael Brady Incorporated, Brian expanded his abilities in design and project management, working on a diverse set of project types including residential, commercial, industrial, educational, religious, financial, telecommunications, and assisted living facilities.

Brian relocated his family to Panama City Beach, Florida in July of 2001 and began working for a developer designing custom residential homes in coastal residential developments such as Carillon Beach. In May of 2003, Brian decided to start his own firm, and since then, he has been successfully focused on working closely with his clients to provide them with quality architectural services.

Brian is registered in the states of Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Jennifer Combs, Vice President, supports the firm with her finance background, bringing a wealth of business smarts and creative financial expertise. She handles marketing, financial, accounting, and office manager responsibilities.

• Programming and Space Schematics: We can provide programming, space schematics, owner supplied data coordination, and existing facility surveys to help clients identify what elements and features are important and/or vital to their particular project.

• Site Development Services: We can analyze prospective sites, provide site utilization studies, and zoning studies to help clients determine the most effective way to utilize the real estate that is the beginning of each project.

• Design Services: We pride ourselves in the ability to listen to clients and help bring their dreams to reality. Our clients have great ideas and we listen to them and help incorporate these ideas into feasible, aesthetic designs that are easy to construct. Throughout the design phase, we can offer multiple visual aids to help clients understand the project as it develops. Our documents are easy to understand and we receive repeated praise from builders about the level of quality in our documents.

• Bidding or Negotiation Services: We can provide assistance to clients as projects approach construction. We can assist in issuing addenda, analyze alternates and substitutions, and evaluate bids to help clients make good decisions regarding the construction of their dreams.

• Construction Administration: We can offer our clients construction phase administration services to assist in reviewing submittals, observe construction, process change orders, and provide interpretations as required to help projects come in under budget, on time, and with all parties having enjoyed the process.
