Our History

The Baghestanian heritage in rugs and antiques dates back four generations to the late 1800s in the old world bazaars of Tehran and Hamedan. Our family's journey began with Morry's grandfather, who was an esteemed rug merchant. Following in his footsteps, Morry learned the intricacies of Oriental rugs from his father, mastering the art of knot-making, symbolism of floral designs, and the complex ingredients employed by master weavers to ensure each piece would last more than a lifetime. In the 1970s, Morry's business ties expanded Westward, to the shores of America, and after the Iranian Revolution, the Baghestanian Bazaar landed in Sacramento.
