• What is R-value, and how does it benefit me?

R-Value is a measure of thermal efficiency. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating properties of the door. At Ashe County Garage Doors, we use a calculated door section R-value for our insulated doors. We have several door styles to meet your insulated door needs for both residential and commercial applications.

• I have a low ceiling in my garage. Will a garage door and opener work?

Yes. A residential garage door requires a minimum of 4 1/2" of headroom space. Your garage door system may need a low-headroom track system or a low-headroom-torsion rear-track system. For a garage door opener, you will need slightly more headroom (about 6 1/2" minimum).

• Where can I view samples of Garage Doors?

Visit our showroom at 120 Blackburn Road in Jefferson, NC. Our location is in-between Jefferson & West Jefferson on the other side of the road from Tractor Supply.

• Can I paint my garage door?

Many of our residential garage doors can be painted. Please see your owner's manual for specific painting instructions. In addition, most of our commercial doors can be powder coated. We offer 197 powder coat colors to best complement the look of your home or your facility.

• Can a section of my door be replaced?

Yes, replacing only a section of your garage door is possible in some cases; however, depending upon the damage involved, the entire door may need to be replaced. Contact us to evaluate your specific situation and make recommendations for the best solution.

• How much does a new garage door system cost?

There are many factors that play into the price of a garage door such as design, material, level of thermal efficiency, and geographic region.
