"Before we hired Silvia Schaeffers services, my husband and I had been trying to decorate our house for the last 4 years. Among so many mistakes and frustrations, our biggest issue was finding Architects who could combine my and my husband's style in a single project. We live on a lake front home in southeastern Michigan, where we have about 5 months of cold and snow, and that was always a challenge for us, to have a house where we could host many friends to enjoy a lake weekend during the summer and three months later to have a cozy atmosphere for the winter. During our first meeting with Silvia Schaeffer we knew we had found the right architect. The initial budget was to redecorate our dining room and living room. What impressed me the most was her ability and patience to search and find great quality pieces and materials that fit within our original budget. Upon completion, I now have in my living room the sofa of my dreams, with a mixtures of textures and colors and maximum use of the space. Our dining room can seat up to 24 people, an incredible and smart layout they came with where three identical tables can form a single table or when separated can function as individual tables to accommodate all the day-to-day life as well as dinner parties and get togethers. All of this in perfect harmony with the other spaces of the house and the seasons of the region where we live.
