Our History

Our founder, Sam Adkins, was a man of great integrity and a keen eye for detail. He built his business on the principles of honesty, hard work, and attention to detail. His legacy continues to live on through the work we do today. In 1992, Sam's son, Jeff Adkins, joined the company full-time and has been instrumental in carrying on his father's values and traditions.

In 2009, Jeff partnered with Debbie Washburn to launch a flooring division of the company, Debbie's Flooring. This new venture has seen significant growth each year since its inception, offering a wide range of flooring options to our customers.

Jeff Adkins, President of Sam Adkins Home Builders, Inc., has been an integral part of the company since 1992. With a strong background in economics and education, Jeff has been able to grow the business while maintaining the family's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. In addition to his role at Sam Adkins Home Builders, Jeff is also an active member of the community, serving as chairman of the Martinsville-Henry County Democratic Committee and coaching basketball at the high school level.

Debbie Washburn, co-owner of Debbie's Flooring, brings her extensive knowledge of flooring options and design expertise to our flooring division. With a focus on providing personalized service and attention to detail, Debbie's Flooring has become a go-to destination for homeowners looking for high-quality flooring solutions.
