Diamond Hill Plywood, a Palmer-Donavin company, has been the Southeast's premier building materials wholesale distributor since 1945. Our company was founded by Sherman Ramsey, who had a vision to develop a successful wholesale distribution network that could meet the needs of industrial and retail customers. Over the years, our company has grown and expanded its operations to become a leading distributor of building materials throughout the southern United States.

Our History

Our company's history dates back to 1945, when Sherman Ramsey, along with his son Jack, founded Diamond Hill Plywood. They believed that by responding to customers' needs, their company would be successful. Strength and leadership set a course that allowed Diamond Hill Plywood to become a leading distributor of building materials. Even today, the third generation of the Ramsey family, John Ramsey and Jim Ramsey, lead the company with the same mutual respect and dedication to excellence as their grandfather and father.

What We Do

Diamond Hill Plywood is a major wholesale distributor of building material and construction products to the retail and industrial market segments. We have a network of five sales and distribution centers in Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, serving customers throughout the Southeast. Our company delivers the goods, owning a fleet of tractors and trailers that distribute products to 10 states in the Southeastern region of the United States.

Our Product Line

Our product line includes lumber, hardwood plywood, engineered wood products, trims, siding, composite board, decking, and railing. We pride ourselves on supplying the building material industry with top-quality specialty and commodity products at competitive prices. Our product offerings include engineered wood products, siding products, mouldings, insulation, particleboard, hardwood/softwood plywood, adhesives/finishes, roofing, decking, PVC trim, columns, house wrap, ceiling tile, railings, Miratec trim, treated and fire retardant plywood, and more.

Our Sales and Service

Our sales and service effort at each DHP sales and distribution center serves a customer base with a 150-mile radius of each facility in our wholesale distribution network. Our facility average warehouse capacity is in excess of 120,000 sq. ft., with outside storage of up to 200,000 sq. ft. Our team is comprised of professionals who work together to provide excellent service and meet the needs of our customers.
