Our Story
A to Z Carpets & Rugs was established in 1984 by Ali, who came to America to study at the University of the District of Columbia, graduating with honors in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Ali continued his education and completed his master's degree from George Washington University. During his last year at the University, he became homesick for his country, Iran, and decided to practice outside his degrees and start his own business. Ali began to practice the art of repairing Persian carpets, recognizing the need to repair and restore the artisan work of the past. This brought him solace and inspired him to share his merchandise with other carpet and art lovers in his community.
