About The Yard Guy

The Yard Guy was originally established by the Mariner family in 1996, and the Grate family now runs the business in Ocean Pines. As a locally owned and operated business, we take pride in the community we serve. Tyler and Noelle Grate, the current owners, moved from Ohio in 2019 and are raising their family on the Eastern Shore. Tyler personally handles the mowing route and is the one you will see at your property. At The Yard Guy of Ocean Pines, we are a Christian-owned, family-run business that takes customer satisfaction seriously.

Residential Lawn Care

Our residential mowing service includes mowing, weed whacking, edging (where applicable), and blowing off of debris. We offer weekly or bi-weekly mowing schedules, and can accommodate one-time or occasional mowing requests with a few days' notice. We strive to make the mowing season as stress-free as possible for our customers. We start mowing each season around the 1st of April and continue until the end of November. Our billing is monthly, and we offer online bill pay for your convenience. We offer a 5% discount if you pay in full for the season in advance.

Other Lawn Services

At The Yard Guy of Ocean Pines, we understand that maintaining a beautiful lawn goes beyond just mowing. That's why we offer a range of other lawn services, including weed control. We can handle weeds growing in your driveway and flower beds and offer a round-up spray service to keep those areas looking clean and neat. We spray on a monthly or bi-monthly schedule as needed. Our sprays cost $35 per application for Ocean Pines residential lots, and we offer quotes for any other residential properties upon request.
