About Bruce

Bruce van Ysseldyk is a business-oriented skilled craftsman who apprenticed with his father, the late Jacob van Ysseldyk, a Dutchman whose artistry was best known in wood workmanship. Together they created and restored incredible wood flooring as partners for 10 years with Professional Floor Refinishing.

Our Process

Each job begins with a free quote and consultation. We discuss your needs, preferences, and concerns, sharing our perspective on the process, typical timing, and any considerations for how best to do the project. Then, we follow up with a quote for you to consider.

The floor refinishing process typically involves prep, sanding, cleaning, stain sampling, applying polyurethane, and sanding again. We ensure that the environment remains dust-free during this process. After the floors are complete, we move on to any additional projects, such as trim, stairs, or interior painting. The best part? You can stay in your own home during the entire refinishing process!
