Mooney's Moving & Storage is a family-owned moving company that has been serving the Greater Philadelphia Area since 1919. With over a century of experience, we have honed our craft and perfected the art of moving. Our team of experienced, professional movers handle your furniture and fragile items with the utmost care, ensuring they arrive at your new home in perfect condition. Our owners, Steve and Mike, are involved in the entire process, from the initial estimate to the coordination of the move, providing you with an open line of communication and offering moving advice along the way.

History

Mooney's Moving & Storage was founded in 1919 by William C.F Mooney, who used horse-drawn wagons to help people move within Bucks County. Following distinguished service in World War II, his sons, Bill and Joe, entered the family business in the 1940s. The business thrived during the post-war housing boom as they upgraded to driving trucks. Bill and Joe took over the company in the early 1960s and ran the successful local operation until the 1980s, when Bill's son-in-law, Michael DeSteffano, assumed ownership. In 2002, Michael DeSteffano's two sons, Steve and Mike, transitioned the company into the 21st century by introducing handheld computers into the in-home estimate process and GPS tracking on our moving trucks.

At Mooney's Moving & Storage, we offer a range of services to make your move as stress-free as possible. Our local moving services are available for those within Bucks, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties. Our in-house, professional movers ensure that your valuables are moved with the utmost care during your transition. Long-distance moving presents its own unique challenges compared to a local move. At Mooney's Moving & Storage, we can help you to ensure that your long-distance move goes as smoothly as possible.

In addition to our moving services, Mooney's Moving & Storage operates a 19,000 sq ft temperature-controlled facility with approximately 400 specially designer storage containers. Our warehouse is carefully maintained by a dedicated staff to ensure that your furniture is stored in a clean and organized environment.
