Locking in Quality, One Key at a Time!
With a rich history dating back to the late 1980s, CDC Custom Woodworking has evolved from a passion project to a renowned business, recognized for its exceptional custom woodworking services. Our journey began with the restoration of antique furniture by our founder, Dr. William A. Hinson, while he was attending medical school at the University of Florida. As his passion for woodworking grew, so did his ambitions, leading him to build his first personal residence entirely by himself. This endeavor marked the start of CDC's custom cabinetry and millwork services for high-end homes on the Gulf Coast.
Over the years, CDC has built a reputation for designing and building interiors that were previously non-existent in the area. Starting as a "word-of-mouth" business, we primarily focused on ultra-high-end homes, creating bespoke cabinetry and architectural millwork. Our dedication to quality and attention to detail earned us a strong reputation, which we continue to uphold today.
In 2014, CDC refocused its efforts to offer its products to a broader audience, including high-end commercial millwork projects. Today, we proudly serve clients across multiple states from our 35-person, 30,000 square foot facility located in downtown Pensacola, Florida. Our team is comprised of skilled woodworkers, each bringing their expertise to ensure every project meets the highest standards.
Our President and CEO, Matt Hinson, is a Pensacola native with a business degree from the University of Colorado. He joined the family business in 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the financial sector. Matt's passion for woodworking began at a young age, building cabinetry and millwork with his father. He continues to be involved in all aspects of the business, particularly excited about new machinery and materials.
Madison Schill, our Vice President and Designer, is also a Pensacola native, with a degree from Florida State University. He is heavily involved in front-end project design, internal operations, and is capable of assisting in any area of the company. Madison's fascination with woodworking started in his early teens, collecting tools and learning how to use them to work on projects of his own.
Our team includes experienced production leaders, each responsible for specific departments. Dusty McGraw oversees casework production and the finish department, Warren Weidamoyer is in charge of architectural millwork production and installations, and Steve Kreuscher creates all custom moldings. We also have a dedicated administration team, including Jennifer "Jas" Williams as our Controller, Chris Flanagan as Warehouse Manager, and Katherine Sapp, an ASID Designer, among others.
At CDC Custom Woodworking, we take pride in our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and our passion for custom woodworking. We are dedicated to ensuring every project exceeds our clients' expectations, whether it's a bespoke cabinetry or a large-scale commercial millwork project.
