Mountain Heart Cedar: The Gold Standard

While some companies may promote Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) for outdoor applications, this wood is actually the least desirable option. Red Cedar, specifically the Eastern Red Cedar variety, features a large sap ring that significantly accelerates the rotting process. In contrast, Mountain Heart Cedar has a much smaller, almost nonexistent, sap ring.
