Our History
Kern Lawn and Landscape was born in the heart of Saint Paul, where the Kern brothers, Jerome "Pappy" Kern and his five sons, grew up and honed their skills in the trade. With a strong work ethic and an industrial upbringing, the Kern brothers instilled in their sons the importance of hard work and skills. In 1984, Pappy Kern planted the first seed of the Kern Lawn and Landscape business when he bought his oldest son a small lawn mower. From that single lawn mower, the roots of the business grew, and today, Kern Lawn and Landscape is one of the most respected and knowledgeable lawn care and landscape companies in the Twin Cities.
