Our Story

Rory Dannenberg, the founder and owner of Captiva Luxury Homes, Inc., has been working in the housing industry since the mid-1980s. His passion for construction was ignited in the 1980s, and he went on to attend the University of Arizona School of Architecture. After graduating, he opened his own custom building business in Arizona, where he gained extensive experience in building custom homes and commercial properties, including restaurants and grocery stores.

In 1992, Rory and his wife, Nikki, decided to visit Kentucky and fell in love with the state's natural beauty, seasons, and community. They relocated to Lexington, Kentucky, and founded Captiva Luxury Homes, Inc. With his extensive experience in the industry, Rory has built a reputation as a true custom builder, unrivaled in the area.

Our team includes Nikki Dannenberg, who brings a wealth of experience in accounting, budgeting, and managerial positions, ensuring that every aspect of the construction process runs smoothly. Carolyn N. Wheeler, a top producer in new construction sales, specializes in new home construction and has been marketing homes by Central Kentucky's finest builders for 31 years.
