For over three decades, Parsons Cabinetry has been a pioneer in the custom cabinetry industry. Founded by Winfield Parsons, a college professor of Industrial Engineering and Technology, the company has evolved to become a leading provider of high-quality, handcrafted custom cabinetry.

Our Story

In the early 1980s, Winfield Parsons used his education and skills to work alongside a local cabinetmaker, developing his skills in small-scale custom cabinet production. He later enlisted the help of his brother Stephen Parsons, and together they learned the best practices of the trade. Starting from scratch, they set up a small operation in Winfield's garage at his Montclair home. Despite the humble beginnings, the company quickly gained traction due to its personal attention to detail and the demand for specialized custom cabinetry in renovation projects for old homes.

Growing and Expanding

As the company grew, so did its determination to deliver the highest quality custom cabinetry. In 1987, Parsons Cabinetry became a Sub-chapter S corporation, with the main manufacturing operation settling in Paterson, New Jersey. Today, the company employs several employees and has expanded its reach to residential and commercial clients as far-reaching as California.

Our Process

We start with raw lumber and individually mill, form, and assemble each part to create fine cabinets and furniture of the highest caliber. Our team of dedicated craftsmen ensures that every cabinet is handcrafted in our Paterson production facility to the exact specifications for each project using only North American wood products.
