Award-Winning Kitchen Design Services in Bala Cynwyd, PA
At Main Line Kitchen Design, our work begins with the understanding that a well-planned kitchen can improve how a home functions. We help Delaware Valley homeowners replace outdated arrangements with carefully considered designs that incorporate cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and flooring. Our team has completed projects involving compact kitchens, older townhouses, stone homes, and larger residential renovations. We regularly address limited storage, inefficient layouts, and spaces that would benefit from a new peninsula, island, or cabinet configuration. Led by award-winning designer Paul McAlary, our firm combines extensive industry knowledge with access to eight nationally distributed cabinet lines. We provide custom and semi-custom cabinetry choices at prices that compare favorably with traditional kitchen showrooms. Our customers receive individualized attention through an appointment-based design process. After visiting the home and recording accurate kitchen measurements, we prepare preliminary computerized layouts for discussion. These initial concepts are reviewed with the homeowner and adjusted before detailed planning begins. We then consider the specific cabinetry, appliance placement, flooring, and other elements required for the proposed kitchen. At our offices, we provide access to hundreds of cabinet door and finish samples, visible cabinet construction displays, and three-dimensional renderings. We intentionally avoid costly showroom features that do not contribute to the design experience. This approach allows us to emphasize practical design expertise, thoughtful planning, and competitive cabinetry pricing.

Services
Kitchen Design
We provide professional kitchen design services that combine thoughtful planning with quality cabinetry at competitive prices. Our business model reduces overhead by displaying eight cabinet brands without maintaining full kitchen showrooms. A small deposit allows us to dedicate approximately eight hours to measurements and preliminary designs, ensuring each customer receives focused attention throughout the planning process.
Cabinet Sales
We specialize in providing well-constructed kitchen cabinets without the additional expense of maintaining a large staffed showroom. Our eight cabinet lines include customizable options, numerous door designs, and a wide assortment of natural and decorative finishes. Each features dovetail-constructed solid wood drawers and full-extension soft-close mechanisms. All cabinetry includes our limited lifetime warranty.
Countertop Brands
We provide access to countertop collections featuring contemporary designs and established material technologies. Colorquartz offers more than 60 colors, including patterns incorporating recycled glass, mirrors, and crystals. MSI emphasizes stain resistance and minimal maintenance, while Cambria delivers durable, nonabsorbent quartz. Our additional offerings from Silestone, Viatera, Corian, and Wilsonart expand the available range of surface styles.
Kitchen Design Process
We help homeowners make informed kitchen design decisions by emphasizing practical layouts and responsible material selection. Since cabinetry styles, finishes, and other products largely determine project costs, we prioritize creative planning. Our services include consultations, measurements, and detailed design development. Deposits collected during the process are credited toward cabinetry purchased through our company.

I recently completed a full kitchen gut renovation for my first home, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Paul was our designer and his expertise made all the difference.
From the start, Paul took the time to understand how I wanted to use the space and what my desired aesthetic was and then translated that into a design that's both stunning and incredibly functional. This was no small feat for a first-time kitchen remodel where I didn't fully know what to even ask for. Every detail feels intentional, something that is essential for a small NYC kitchen.
What really stood out was how attentive Paul was throughout the entire process, patiently answering my (many) questions and guiding me through decisions I'd never had to make before (or even expected that I would need to make!). Even my contractor, who's done plenty of kitchen remodels, specifically complimented the quality of Paul's design.
If you're considering a kitchen renovation, whether as a seasoned homeowner or as a first-time homeowner, I can't recommend Paul and Main Line Kitchen Design enough. Truly a five-star experience from start to finish.

We were very happy with Main Line, especially their responsiveness to issues with the doors after the fact! One of our cabinet doors was warped and Chris Rossetti immediately swung by, determined it was covered under warranty and got a new one ordered. He even reordered it a second time after determining that the stain color was not satisfactory (I didn't even notice the difference until he pointed it out!)
We went with a more base-level product for our laundry room because we thought it was worth spending the 'big bucks' on custom inset cabinets in our kitchen, but the laundry room cabinets honestly have such a 'wow' factor and our experience with Main Line was much much better than with Village Handcrafted, where we got the kitchen cabinets. Quality is better and service is far superior.

I first met Paul about 15 years ago when he designed a complete kitchen remodel for my home in Narberth. From the very beginning, it was clear that he brought not only exceptional expertise to his work, but also an extraordinary level of dedication, thoughtfulness, and generosity. He genuinely cares about creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, and he pours himself into every project.
Over the years, I’ve hired Paul several more times. One of those projects was a very high-end kitchen in another home with a particularly challenging layout. Because the stakes felt so high, I consulted with several designers before making my decision. In the end, I knew I was going to choose Paul—and I’m so glad I did. His design was by far the strongest, and the finished kitchen exceeded every expectation I had. To this day, it’s one of my favorite spaces.
Most recently, Paul designed the kitchen for one of my rental properties, and once again, he absolutely knocked it out of the park. His guidance was invaluable. What I love about working with Paul is that he never thinks only about the kitchen. He naturally sees the whole home and generously shares ideas for improving every space, always balancing beauty, function, and value. His input consistently makes the entire house better.
Paul is one of those rare people whose talent is matched by his integrity, generosity, and commitment. His creativity, attention to detail, and ability to solve even the most challenging design problems are truly exceptional. I trust his judgment completely, and I can honestly say there is no one else I would want designing a kitchen for me. I recommend him with absolute confidence and enthusiasm.

After moving to the area from Charlotte, NC we conducted endless research to find a high quality , reasonably priced K&B to completely overhaul our 70's kitchen as part of our gut renovation. We met with at least 7 companies and narrowed it to 2. Received pricing on the exact same kitchen layout, Semi-Custom brand of cabinets, door style, and finish. I was astonished at the price difference for one, but also the attention to detail and service we received during this process alone from Mainline kitchens. Because of this, we decided to work with Jeremy Lista and Mainline Kitchens, and we could not be happier with our new kitchen! As a designer I already had a plan drawn up but Jeremy made it better with small but meaningful tweaks, and also helped me create an entirely new cabinet as a hidden pantry door and a custom made hood that was not offered by Brighton at the time. There were a few hiccups with Brighton along the way but Jeremy was on top of every issue with them and had things fixed or replaced immediately. Next up will be bathrooms and, after such a great experience, we now enlist Jeremy @ Mainline Kitchens for all of our own renovation clients in the area!

I had a tricky space and no clear idea of what I wanted. Paul came up with a layout I’d never have thought of myself — and it’s perfect. Exactly what the room needed.

Mainline Kitchen was great. We were stumped as to how to incorporate an island in our narrow space. Designer Doug
Mottershead figured out a great island that seats a lot of bodies. He also steered us to cabinets we could get quickly as we had a wedding coming up. He measured and ordered and provided guidance on some tricky construction details. It all worked out and would definitely use this company again.

A Main Line Kitchen Design renovation has just been completed in my home and I couldn't be happier. Paul, Chris and Juliet were wonderful advisors. With Chris and Juliet's experience and design talent I was finally able to visualize how to make my small, inefficient kitchen beautiful and functional. I now have more storage space than I thought possible. Juliet listened to my wants and needs and nudged me towards selections she thought I would like. She coordinated all ordering, scheduling and installation which made the experience less stressful. The final result is fantastic. I would definitely recommend Main Line Kitchen Design.

We had a great experience with Jeremy at Mainline Kitchen design! When we moved in to our house 10 years ago, we knew that we needed to renovate at some point given the poor layout, deteriorating particle board countertop and drooping drawers. Concerned about the downtime, it wasn't until last year when we decided to bite the bullet and start this project. Jeremy was easy to work with, and we love the design and layout. The contractor he had recommended was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept to the timeline. We are really enjoying our new kitchen. Thanks to Mainline Kitchen, our experience was tremendously smoother than we had feared!
