Heath Buildings has a rich history dating back to the 1970s when Sammy Heath started building pole barns from the back of his pickup truck. Over the years, the business has evolved and grown, with Sammy adding a truss plant in 1985 to manufacture and sell trusses. After another successful 15 years, Sammy retired and sold the business to his younger brother, Richard, who operated the business alongside his wife, Ruth, until they retired and sold it to Josh and Ashley Heath in the summer of 2023. Today, Heath Buildings is a family-owned and operated business with years of experience in designing and building commercial, farm, and residential structures. Every structure built by Heath Buildings is unique and custom designed to meet the specific needs of its clients.

Heath Buildings also offers building packages for customers interested in do-it-yourself construction projects. The company has its own construction crews and sells steel roofing and siding, continuing to operate the truss plant. The trusses are engineered and certified by Alpine. Additionally, Heath Buildings is a member of several prestigious associations, including the Western Kentucky Construction Association, the Western Kentucky Home Builders Association, the National Frame Builders Association, and the Better Business Bureau.
