Our Story

Burt Surveying, a family-owned and operated business nestled in the heart of West Central Wisconsin, has been providing meticulous and reliable land surveying services to the communities of Buffalo, Trempealeau and surrounding counties for over two decades. Founded in 1994 by Daniel J. Burt, Burt Surveying emerged from humble beginnings, operating out of a modest office. Daniel, driven by a keen understanding of the local community's need for quality surveying services, embarked on a mission to provide precise, transparent, and affordable solutions.

His dedication and vision quickly gained traction, with word-of-mouth referrals and satisfied clients becoming the cornerstone of Burt Surveying's success. The company's growth was fueled by a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction, technical expertise, and a genuine dedication to serving the region. However, tragedy struck in 2006 when Daniel, while diligently working on a project, lost his life in an unexpected lightning strike, leaving a profound void in the company and the community.

Despite the immense loss, Burt Surveying, under the capable leadership of Daniel's widow, Brenda, and the dedicated team of employees, weathered the storm. Embracing Daniel's legacy of community service and unwavering dedication, Brenda steered the company towards continued success. She, alongside the empowered employees who had become close family, ensured that Burt Surveying remained steadfastly committed to fulfilling Daniel's vision.
