At Coastal General Construction, we believe in turning dreams into reality. Founded in 2006, our company was established by combining the highly successful DeHart Construction and Norm C Home Improvement. Since then, we've been dedicated to providing top-quality construction services to our clients, whether it's new construction, renovations, or remodels.

Our team, led by Jerry DeHart, has deep roots in the area and the construction industry. Jerry, born and raised in York County, has a family that originally settled in the area in the 1600s. After completing his apprenticeship, Jerry became a licensed General B Contractor in the states of California, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. Under his leadership, his company, DeHart Construction, grew to over 50 employees.

Jerry took a brief sabbatical from construction to travel the world, visiting over 40 countries. When he returned, he continued his education at the University of Georgia, where he received several certificates of excellence. Jerry returned to the construction industry, determined to make a difference in the lives of his clients.

Our team is complete with in-house designers, product partnerships, and talented tile and bathroom installers. We have a large variety of options for any kitchen, from custom-built cabinetry complete with our skilled millwork to design and installation of nationally renowned cabinet makers.

Our Location

We are based in Ogunquit, Maine, but our projects span up and down the beautiful Maine coast from Wells to Kittery. Our clients range from new construction to renovations and remodels. Our projects are both residential and commercial building.
