Window Woman of New England was born from a place of passion and frustration. Founded in 2003 by Alison Hardy, the business stemmed from a deep-seated love for historic architecture and a yearning to preserve the beauty of original windows. Alison, a resident of older homes, found herself constantly battling drafts, broken panes, and the frustrating limitations of available replacement options. Rejecting the notion that charming windows with character should be discarded simply because they were weathered, she embarked on a mission to find better solutions. Driven by Yankee thrift and a belief in the enduring value of quality craftsmanship, she dedicated herself to restoring her own windows, eventually helping friends and neighbors do the same. Word of her meticulous work and undeniable expertise spread, leading to the establishment of Window Woman of New England.

The Window Woman of New England team is a collection of skilled individuals, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. Our journey is one of continuous learning and collaboration, sharing knowledge and insights gained from years of experience working with diverse window styles. We are united by a shared commitment to excellence and a passion for preserving architectural heritage. Driven by this shared purpose, we restored over 600 windows and repaired an additional 700+ last year, a testament to our dedication and expertise in the craft.
