Our Firm

Viator and Associates is a full-service landscape architecture design firm established in 1984 by Ted Viator, ASLA in Lafayette, Louisiana. Since then, the firm has provided a wide range of landscape architecture services to both residential and commercial clients throughout the South. Our landscape architects' design abilities include, but extend beyond, landscape design, planting plans, irrigation plans, and drainage plans. We take pride in our personal approach to design, focusing on one-on-one interaction between the client and architect, ensuring a clear, cohesive, and tailored design that meets our clients' unique needs, wants, and lifestyles.

Our Services

Our clients range from small residential design to large-scale commercial developments. We offer a comprehensive range of design services, including landscape design, outdoor living areas, patio areas, swimming pool and spa design, landscape lighting, landscaping and planting, and some light architectural design. Our portfolio showcases numerous examples of our landscaping designs, highlighting our expertise in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces. Additionally, we provide design services for arbors, pergolas, cabanas, outdoor fireplaces, pool houses, outdoor kitchens, carports, garages, and covered patios, as well as custom wrought iron fences and gates, wood and brick fences, fountains, water features, and driveways.
