Wible Lumber

Wible Lumber Inc. has grown from a modest handle factory and sawmill into today's multi-service manufacturer of hardwood lumber, mouldings, and edge-glued panels. Located in South Milford, Indiana, Wible Lumber is the outgrowth of Wible Sawmill started in the 1920's by Dale Wible. As a family business, its stewardship passed to Dale's son Wayne Wible. Under his direction, facilities and equipment underwent consistent expansion and upgrading. Major advances from 1985 thru 1987 were the construction of Irvington-Moore dry kilns, to assure the ultimate in hardwood quality, and the addition of the edge-glued panels. Company growth was further enhanced when Wayne's son David and Wayne's son-in-law Dennis Nowels advanced to key management roles in 1995. Additional kilns were built then, and again in 2003 to bring the total capacity to 500,000'. To this day, we continue to automate and optimize both new and old equipment to insure a competitive product. Dennis and David share day-to-day responsibilities, David in purchasing and sales and Dennis in plant operations. Along with valued employees, their emphasis on quality in every phase is the cornerstone of Wible Lumber's past, present, and future.
