Following Tom's passing in 1989, Jeanne Wise carried forward the legacy of customer-centric service. Mickey Smith, who joined the team in 1981, played a vital role in upholding these traditions. Starting with delivery and customer support, Mickey transitioned to sales, dedicating himself to ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage of their purchase journey. His genuine care for customers and commitment to finding the perfect fit for their needs solidified his role within the Wise Furniture Company family.

In 2005, Mickey Smith, having become deeply invested in the company's success, acquired Wise Furniture Company. He continued to build upon the strong foundation laid by Tom and Jeanne, strengthening the company's commitment to community and customer service.
