For over 169 years, Schmuck Lumber Company has been a trusted and family-owned business, serving the Hanover, PA community. Founded by Henry Schmuck in 1852, our humble beginnings started with the sale of lumber and coal. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our product offerings to include a wide range of building materials, such as windows, roofing materials, plywood, drywall, hardware, and much more.

Our Leadership Team

Our team of experienced and knowledgeable leaders includes four owners, each with a strong background in the building industry. Chris Watson, Landon Rife, Mike Livelsberger, and Thomas "Woodie" Witman have over 76 years of combined experience, working towards improving all aspects of the company to ensure an exceptional customer and contractor experience. Our leadership team is committed to providing outstanding service, delivering high-quality products, and building long-lasting relationships with our customers.

Our Services

Our Outside Sales Team consists of Tommy Hartlaub, Mike Dzbynski, and Michael Livelsberger, who perform blueprint takeoffs, jobsite measuring for windows, doors, and other products. With 75 years of combined industry experience, our sales team understands the value of taking care of our customers.

Our Installed Sales Team, consisting of Steven Sager, Mike Ormond, Chris Watson, and Brian Sipling, will assist you with all of your installation needs, including garage doors, decks, windows, and entry doors. Our expert staff will ensure that your installation projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Our Kitchen & Bath Team, comprising Whitney Rife and Kim Sterner, offers expert design services for your kitchen and bath renovation projects. With their expertise in design, cabinetry, countertops, and tile, they will guide you through the design and installation process from start to finish.

Our Inside Sales Team, consisting of Cole Allen, Rick Fuhrman, Richard Flickinger, John Hood, Kerry Klinedinst, and Benjamin Carbaugh, is renowned for their product knowledge. They will happily assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding windows, doors, decking, hardware, siding, or any other building supplies.

Our Accounting Team, consisting of Beckie Oaster and Terry Petry, ensures that vendors are paid on time and keeps track of homeowner and contractor statements. Our Yard Team is responsible for receiving material into our stock as well as loading trucks when you pull into our yard.

Our Carpentry Team, made up of experienced experts, will work with you to bring your design vision to life. From start to finish, our team will ensure that your project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
