Meco Erection, Inc. is an award-winning builder and erector that specializes in pre-engineered design build products, commercial, industrial, and religious facilities for northern Illinois, Indiana, and southern Wisconsin. We pride ourselves on safety, quality, and production, delivering top-notch work at a reasonable price. Our team consists of certified welders, operators, roofers, and installers, and we are certified for water tightness warranty work for most pre-engineered metal building products.

Established with an emphasis on quality and production at a reasonable price, our business has grown through repeat customers and referrals. We handle projects ranging from small box frames to large crane buildings, and we also specialize in retrofitting, reworking, and remodeling various types of pre-engineered metal buildings. Our certified roof installers can address any roof leaks and repairs needed.

Our Services

Pre-engineered metal building products are constantly evolving, and we take pride in understanding and properly installing all types of new and innovative products. At Meco Steel Erection Inc., we offer a wide range of services, including stopping roof leaks, repairing gutters, and erecting new large projects. Currently, we are reworking several older buildings with retro-fit roof hugger systems, removing existing roofs and replacing them with new ones, and reworking existing walls with standard wall panels or installing new and improved sandwich panels with high energy-efficient products.

With new government insulation rebate programs emerging, the design concepts moving forward will focus on increasing insulation and "R" factor. We perform all types of installation for new and improved design build concepts, such as the new veneer type brick, stone, block, and even wood shake shingle wall panels.

We also offer demos, new building components, repair services, continuous wall lights, overhead crane rail alignment, retro-fit systems, roof and wall installation, cat-walks, handrails, stair installation, roof curbs, access hatches, and skylights. Additionally, we provide insulated panel systems, refrigeration, high "R" factor installation, mezzanine installation, bar-joist, bridging, and curb angle.

Our Work

Our work has been recognized by the Metal Architecture Design Award judges, who honored us with an award in the Renovation and Retrofit category for a project that showcased the metal building system as its own style. Throughout the review, whenever a metal building system was discussed, the judges expressed the most enthusiasm for those projects that showed the metal building system as its own style, rather than a disguise of that style.

Our Team

Meco Erection, Inc. was founded in 1984 by Steve and H.D. Montgomery. H.D. Montgomery retired in 1990. Today, Meco Erection, Inc. is operated by a team of professional building erectors with our customer's best interest in mind. Our team includes Justin Montgomery, CEO and Scheduling; Josha Brod, Lead Estimator/Safety Director; and Cesar Artega, Estimator.
