Our History

Our story began in 1950 when Horace Sherrill started helping families protect their homes from insects, ants, and creepy crawlies. Almost 10 years later, Horace moved the pest control operation to middle Tennessee, and his 4 children joined in. After running the business and building a great reputation for 25 years, he sold the middle Tennessee interest to his oldest son Vernon "Jr." Sherrill. In a parking lot of a customer's home, Jr. scratched out a logo on a napkin, and "Sherrill Pest Control" exterminators was officially born.
