Our journey began in 1967 when our founder, David R. Fraley, started working part-time for his father-in-law, Clancy Inman, at Inman Fence Service. In January of 1970, David took the leap and purchased the business for $500, which included the inventory and a 1954 Ford Pickup. David's father, Bill Fraley, joined him in the venture, and together they formed a partnership. However, in 1972, when steel prices surged and chain link fences reached $2.00 per foot installed, Bill sold his half of the business to David for $2,500, believing that people would never pay such a high price for a fence.

Over the years, the business has evolved and grown, involving various family members and eventually transitioning into Cedar Grove Fence Specialists in 1996. Despite the changes, our core values have remained the same: to provide top-quality products and personalized service to our customers.

David R. Fraley, the owner, is a resident of Miami Township, Ohio, and a graduate of the University of Dayton and West Carrollton High School. Prior to diving into the fencing business full-time, David worked as a Computer Programmer at General Motors from 1967 to 1973. His experience at GM provided him with valuable skills that he has applied to his business, ensuring that every aspect of Cedar Grove Fence Specialists operates efficiently and effectively.

Today, Cedar Grove Fence Specialists is a thriving business with an office and warehouse in Miamisburg, Ohio. Our crews are employees of the company, covered by Workers' Compensation Insurance, and we carry $2 million in liability coverage.
